save our second wind for sentimental warm weather

Spring quarter at RIT has begun! I find this hard to believe. The completion of my 2nd year of college is approaching like a charging lion! If only summer would come as quickly. Today the snow was melting a bit and I could feel a baby amount of warmth floating in the air... but I'm sure more cold is on the way.

I'm taking Character Illustration, Figure Drawing, Philosophy, and a Walt Whitman lit class this quarter. It's strange taking more liberal arts than studio arts, but so far so good, I suppose. My Whitman teacher is such a character... greying beard and all. Meanwhile, my philosophy teacher is a fairly young woman with wonderful dry humor in her bones. For example, she screamed "WTF?!" to us (mind you, there are 85 people in my class!) ... as in, "double you, tee, eff." I laughed a little.

Winter/spring break was nice.. I did mostly nothing. No work to fret about, no dark clouds looming over my head. I even finished my re-app to SCAD. I watched ridiculous amounts of movies. I'll spit the few titles which I remember: Babel, Clockwatchers, The Big Lebowski, Clerks, Dedication, Heartbreak Kid, Shopgirl, O Brother Where Art Thou, The stupid Hills have stupid Eyes, Gone With the wind, and that is all I can recall.

OH! I forgot! I am also taking a cardio kick-boxing class! ha! It's for a little over an hour, once a week... and we really punch and kick bags. I even have to buy big puffy gloves to protect my paws! ha hah ehha.

Blub bleha I need a hair cut. and the sun. and a nice summer breeezee man.

until next time!
