Title: One Week
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Tragedy
Pairing: YooSu (YunJae)
Status: On-Going
Length: Multi-chapter; Prologue (of seven chapters)
Basic Synopsis: Kim Junsu is an eighteen year old boy, diagnosed with a terminal illness that he has been fighting for three years now. Deciding to stop his treatments, Junsu desperately wants to spend his last week alive by meeting his biggest idol, Park Yoochun, known around the world as 'Micky.'
Park Yoochun is Seoul's notorious playboy, partying and clubbing nonstop at the hottest spots in the city. But when the media almost catches him at one of his favorite strip-clubs, his management fears that it could ruin his career and give the company bad publicity. Discovering Junsu, a diehard fan who is dying, the company grants his wish--to spend his last week with his favorite idol, in order to keep 'Micky' and his career out of the (bad) spotlight.
Reluctant at first, Yoochun goes along with the meeting, thinking of it as nothing more than just some loser fan faking an illness just to see him. He never expected his fan to be the shy Junsu that helps him learn to live his life to its fullest and teaches him the meaning of true love.
Dedicated to my soulmate (she is the Su to my Yoo)... Saih, who made this beautiful banner without me even asking (I told you I loved you <3)
PROLOGUE
He had been diagnosed when he was fifteen.
He had been happy, hanging out with his friends after school one day and suddenly… The world started spinning and the people around him started to fade slowly. He remembered later waking up in a hospital in Seoul, wondering why he had been sent there. The local medical center would be able to treat his dizzy spells and fainting, so why was he in such a high-class hospital? Why waste money on such a trivial thing like passing out at the arcade in his community?
It turned out, though, that the matter was not as insignificant as he thought. His body was slowly dying, the disease spreading throughout his blood stream and attacking his immune system. The doctors suggested treatments and medications, there was not a cure but they could try to slow it down, extend his life a little longer.
For three years…
He had been getting treatments for three years. He had missed so much. School, parties, everything. He finally decided that it was time to stop the treatments. His mother had cried, his father had been there to support him, and his twin locked himself in their bedroom for days.
A week.
That was all the time the doctors allotted him. One final week in which he needed to do everything he had ever wanted. Out of everything in the world, he wanted one simple wish of his to be granted.
To meet the famous Korean singer, Park Yoochun, known around the world as ‘Micky.’
And to his great disbelief, his prayers were answered when the manager of Micky sent him a plane ticket to Seoul and a letter that said everything he had ever wanted to read or hear.
He was going to meet his idol.
In a large penthouse in downtown Seoul, Korean pop idol, Park Yoochun, was tiredly listening to his manager drone on and on about the latest Micky scandal in the news. Something about ‘bad lighting in strip clubs’ and ‘could not get a clear view of his face.’ It was the same thing they always said.
His career was going to be ruined if he kept doing what he did. It was all in good fun for him though. When he was not recording, he was out clubbing, enjoying his youth. It was the only time he was ever Yoochun, surrounded by girls gyrating and in intoxicated states of mind, no one recognized him as ‘Micky’ the sexy, single pop star.
His manager, Shim Changmin, sighed, slumping down in the dark blue arm chair across from his spread out position, telling him that he needed to keep himself away from anything that could possibly ruin his career. Then he slid a letter to him across the clear coffee table, one that Yoochun scanned over quickly and looked back to his manager as if asking if it was a joke.
Shaking his head no, Changmin propped his chin up on his upturned palm, tapping his slender fingers against his cheek. Apparently, it was his company’s idea. They thought that it would be good publicity on his part if he granted a dying fan’s wish. Yoochun just assumed that it was some diehard fan that was so desperate to breathe the same air as him, that he had faked the illness.
He found out, however, that his assumption was far from correct, and that Kim Junsu would change his life forever.
So, I am not too sure! Did everyone enjoy the prologue? I had to cover everything that had happened so far, so that the first chapter is Day One officially. Each chapter will be the next day until the end of the week Junsu is allotted... Um. Continue? Yes? No?
This will be my first official YooSu (lately they have surpassed my love for YunJae) and I am hoping that it has captured someone's attention.
Thank you for your time! Let me know what you thought about this tiny snippet. I am hoping to update every Sunday and Wednesday--a regualr updating schedule is what I need at the moment with all the ideas I have running around.
