Cancer
Many of you on my friends list are aware of Charlie being down with leukemia. Turns out one of my two best friends, Dave Peterson, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma a week or so ago.
Rather vexing. I'm a chemist, and given the things I've worked with for extended periods of time, you'd think I'd get something before my friends (not that I want anything, mind you).
Anyway, the point of this whole exercise is that my sister, RaDora, has taken up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program (which seems to be Race for the Cure with more marathon and less 10K). She's going to be running a half marathon in Anchorage, AK on June 23. If you've been thinking about donating for the anti-cancer cause, but haven't, then consider helping her reach her goal of raising $4,300 for the cause.
