I don't know if I had posted this information yet, but my kidlet is standing supported. Two weekends ago, Kevin let her stand supporting herself with our ottoman, and now she's doing really well with that.
Additionally, this weekend, she learned that she can pull herself to standing with my collar, or my legs, or other items that are close to her. It's super cute and it makes me happy.
She's been creeping for a little over a week, so the debate is on about whether she will crawl or walk first. Since it is no longer recommended to have babies sleep on their stomachs, more babies are doing things in the reverse-- this is why Eleanor rolled from back to front first and why she may well walk before she crawls.
Jane, one of our sitters, said she was sort of "walking a little bit" yesterday with help. It was more like she was putting her weight on one foot, and "frankenstein/zombie" walking by pivoting a little, taking her weight on her feet, and then pivoting again.
Also, meeting with a potential sitter for Eleanor for two days a week, every other month... except we just learned that she lives 30 minutes in the wrong direction, I would have to leave my house at 6:30am to get to work at 8am because I'd hit the biggest rush hour traffic in the city coming into and out of work... Finding childcare is ridiculous! But I can't let that put a damper on my excitement about Eleanor's development!
