My House is Falling Apart... Again
So the folks were here this weekend and Daddy got the shower functioning again on Friday and fixed the toilet on Saturday.
The bathroom sink broke on Sunday right before he had to leave... as he and Kevin were putting silicone around the kitchen sink which was never glued down or water-sealed... a BAD move on the rennovators parts considering we have laminate counters and the water seeping in could destroy the counter as the wood mass underneath changed with more and less water.
and now the kitchen sink drain pipes are falling apart again... and the hubby isn't home to force them back into place... so I was late to work and my pant hems are wet from trying to sop everything up before work :-/
I was cleaning my travel mug and thought the water sounded louder than usual, but thought nothing of it because I figured I'm just a spaz. No, I was right-- the water hit the sink and then hit the cabinet and then spilled onto the floor. Half of the items under my sink are drying on the stove. I got as much water out as I could, but had to close the cabinet doors so Rocket didn't get into it (this is the same sink from whence the rodent came earlier this year and even though it's entry points have been filled with spray foam, she still wants to sniff and bark and scratch at that cabinet.).
Oh, and I forgot to rinse my cup out completely and my coffee tastes a bit like dish soap... and I'm puffy today even with all the water I'm supposed to be drinking to keep the puffiness down...
Well, least it can really just get better :-) Looks like I may be adding "plumber" to the list of phone calls I have to make this week, lol!
