Games for the Living Dead... er... the Working :-)

There are a few office games I play by myself sometimes when work is slow or when I've been spending too much time on spreadsheets and computer screens and not enough time with human beings.

I like to be mean to the phone when it rings (ie "stupid phone!  why are you interrupting me?!" ), and then I am super polite to the person on the other end.

Or I put on a slight southern accent when I am speaking to someone with a really thick southern accent.

But my favorite is the "invisibility/spy" game.  Sometimes when I go downstairs to get my coffee, I try to leave and come back without being seen.

I almost made it today.  I made it downstairs, got my coffee and was headed towards the stairs when I heard voices in the staircase, so I pushed the elevator button not knowing if I would make it onto the elevator before the voices got to me.  I got on the elevator and just as it was starting to close, the door to the stairs squeaked open the and I could hear the dean and IT director talking, but they couldn't see me.  Very James Bond-ian, lol!  When the elevator got to my floor, I poked my head out to see if there was anyone in the hall.   I didn't see the person standing around the corner, so I was spotted at the last minute... defeat!

To some extent, I really believe that people need to have more "play" in their lives.  Losing the ability to create fun out of nothing is sad.  I know it's probably really lame that I admit to doing these things, but it keeps my brain from stagnating during tougher times at work.  Do you play any "work games" at your job, or am I the only weirdo around here?
