Mmm happy. IMHO, there is no such thing as amazing smut that doesn't include a healthy dash of angst. This was absolutely great to read and I'm all warm fuzzies now. And extra-inspired to work on my own angst smut. ^^

Caught a typo: "I missed not being with you." Probably the opposite of what Hotch means. ;)

Thank you! Yeah, life is all about the angst... and the smut... and the smutty angst. Can't wait to read your angst!smut.

And thanks for pointing that out. Proofreading at 4 a.m. is probably not such a good idea.

Nicely done! You packed a lot of things in to this fic, from rituals to trust issues, but kept it balanced and touching. I always enjoy when an author explores just how the case affects him or her, and their coping mechanisms. Reid and Hotch have discipline but it's always great to read when Hotch basically says, 'to hell with it'. I especially loved how Hotch admitted that it was just as much for him as it was for Reid.

The hot cocoa ritual with Jack was touching as well.

Oh, and the sex? Smoldering! Yum.

Bravo! Thanks for posting!

Thank you! Yeah, I think the trust issues and their past baggage are something that would create obstacles for them along the way (and something that I love how you explore in "Triggers and Ties", btw). Yet I do think they would work through it. I can definitely see them have a whole set of rules (or at least expectations) about how they would act toward each other on cases, but then just getting to the point where one of them says 'to hell with it, I need my lover NOW.' I'm thrilled you liked this.
