Laugh ok hows this....
Every once and a while we management play a quick game of 'pass the ace' at lunch on friday or saturday. If you don't know what it is.... each person gets one card delt to them, you can only pass clockwise once, lowest card that round is out.... if passed to you have to hand over your card unless it is a King. The dealer is last to be passed to and then gets to keep the card or cut. You keep going round after round until only one person is left. We play for a 5 or today $10 entry and $10 buy in.... the buy in allows you to get back in the game once if you're knocked out.
So today was my day to buy pizza as a celebration of my promotion... 12 pizzas worth $154 bucks. And as we ate it we played a couple games of 'pass the ace'. There was 8 of us. In the first game it came down to me and one other guy who was the dealer that round... he dealt me an ace which I passed to him, but he only had a 3... so that left me with his 3 and him cutting the deck to see if he could somehow out of 50 cards get a card higher than my lowly 3.... he cut a 2 ;) Suddenly instead of being down the 154 for the pizza I was only down $14 since I had just won 140 plus my 20 (10 and 10 buy in). Needless to say after that lucky cut and a few other wierd plays (4 people got knocked out when the 4 4's were the low card one round and 3 got put out with 3 jacks vs 2 kings). In the next game is also came down to me vs one other guy (different one) and he was the dealer again... I got delt the ace and passed it off for a 4 this time... he cut a 3.
In the end I came home up $126 after buying my pizzas ;)
