"willy wonka, willy wonka, the amazing chocolateer"
my xmas gift to my parents was me making dinner and eating with them once a week.
tonight was the first night this was carried out.
we had a spinach salad with red peppers, portobello mushrooms and salmon marinated in a balsamic/garlic marinade then grilled and topped with warm goat cheese and a warm red wine vinegar dressing.
from scratch.
it was fucking good, and i am awesome.
we also watched cinderella man which made me cry because it is about a sport.
[oh and the great depression, which-- well let's face it --is depressing.]
then i worked out and watched the new willy wonka and the chocolate factory for the first time.
for all of you who said you hated it and it sucked, i defy you. it was just psychotic enough for me to love it. i admit i didn't like the oompa loompas, only because i just saw that little dude in the narnia movie and am now totally committed to loathing him for the rest of my life. but other than that it was fucking badass.
although i did keep saying to myself, "this is the one big hollywood star with whom i've decided to grace the walls of my bedroom?"
in the end i decided, with a grin, "yes. yes it is."
