Keep moving forward and stop regretting or thinking.
...and life goes on...

Per Confession, I had been prone to - failure regarding the above suggestion. Historically, I have looked backwards. Ultimately, I had lost years to this. Yet, even to this day, I still do it; even though a large part of me is indeed looking forward. So, in a sense, currently, I'm doing pirouettes at the risk of tripping. Thankfully, the church is around as an aid to keeping this vision straight.
So, I agree to that above truth. Maintain forward progress and let nothing hold us back.
Of all places, this is practically demonstrated in the game of football - where watching the game, it is the objective of a team (particularly) the offense to keep the line of scrimmage moving forward (more times than the other team). Failure to do so results in a loss. Sure, sometimes, teams take steps backwards due to a mistake (like a penalty). On a larger scale, games are actually lost. However, that should not be an excuse to either lose the game or lose the season. After all, the goal of any NFL team each season is to win it all.
Well, that's a football team. So, what do I do? Simple. I have
my goals. Clearly written. So, I keep my eye on them and continue to work and full-fill them. After all, they are also promises to keep. To be honest, I would hate to see the result of failure to achieve these goals. Therefore, keep those italicized words to mind and finish the job. That, I tell myself. Yet, in the events where I do trip, I have to get right back up and continue to plow my way to my goals.
