Foresight
Guessing the future, as opposed to predicting the future. Prediction is outright impossible as all "predictions" are either estimates or guesses - even the ones with a 99.9% likelihood. Yet, foresight serves one important function: it keeps our eye on the future to minimize the unexpected. All part of preparation, yet no matter what - cannot prepare for everything.
