SO I'M REWATCHING LIFE ON MARS, IS MY POINT.

Okay, so like, I am equally INCREDIBLY EXCITED and FEELING INCREDIBLY STUPID at the time same.

Back in January, when I raced through Life On Mars, I figured that I would a) definitely want to watch all of this again; and b) didn't have the space on my laptop to accommodate keeping both seasons + whatever else I'd want (namely: all of Doctor Who ( Read more... )

YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND, THIS IS THE SAME DVD PLAYER THAT, WHEN YOU PUT A REGULAR DVD IN, IT WILL RANDOMLY SELECT A CHAPTER TO PLAY INSTEAD OF STARTING FROM THE BEGINNING.

So, like, that was the level of quality I thought I was dealing with!

Er.. tons of Divx-playable dvd players do that. It's a quirk of the programming. *eyes* Did you READ THE FRONT OF THE DVD PLAYER that should say 'Divx'? Because if that word is on your dvd player ANYWHERE, I will despair of you.

...OKAY TO MY CREDIT, it is:

a) not on the front of the DVD, but on THE TOP OF IT? Like, in a place that is right now covered up by a stack of DVDs, and if I hadn't just thought it was really strange that there's nothing printed on the front of my DVD player, I would have maybe never thought to look there because who DOESN'T put that on the front?
b) very, very difficult to read on account of it being ON THE TOP of the DVD player and therefore in shadow.

Can you tell that I watch 85-90% of my DVDs on my laptop, by the way?

But more omg, TOUCHING EVIL (US). Barely anyone on my flist even knows about it so I am so happy that you do. I rewatched the pilot after like, a looong time and god it is still the greatest ever.

ONCE UPON A TIME, I was hardcore, head over heels IN LOVE with Touching Evil (US). It used to run on USA in the mornings and would always make me late for work. CREEGAN AND BRANCA WERE MY FAVORITES. Oh goodness, the final scene of the series is so pretty.

I find it amusing that LoM and DW are related, not just because of the "Tyler" thing, not just because of John Simm, but the fact that Matthew Graham wrote an ep of DW (2x11 -- "Fear Her" :p )

(Oh, they share Chris Chibnall, too -- but he only wrote for Torchwood. ;p )

OMG I JUST started watching Life on Mars a couple weeks ago. I'm up to Season 2 (It took forever for the damn torrent to download) The point is I love it. I love your Hunt icon. They're making a US version and from what I've heard, it will be utter shit. Let's hang out sometime kay? Girly drinks by the pool? Night of take outs and tv marathon? C'mon whatddya say?

(Maybe when you finish Life on Mars, we could attempt to watch the spin-off, which is basically GENE HUNT IN THE 1980s. I tried once before with little success, but my heart wasn't in it.)

Also, you know that I'm going to try to force the Doctor Who on you, right? Don't even TRY and resist.
