Minus the whole Lucius business (ICK), SGA S3, Canada-style, contains to be oodles of good and fun. OODLES!

I will say, however, that of all the coy SG-1 references they could have used to reinforce their story............ WHY DID NO ONE MENTION THE TIME THAT VIRTUALLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO CASSANDRA FRAISER? Or the time that the same device made Jonas into Nirrti's loveslave? It was, like, the SAME. THING. I just had to look up the season of that second one and the image has the device making the SAME little swirling pattern!! Because, um, that random Season 9 reference, I didn't get that one at all.

All and all, this show wins for all the little character moments taking precedence over complex technobabble plot developments that are virtually impossible to identify with. Wasn't the writers' whole intention this season, too? WIN. WIN WIN WIN. It's like... they're beginning to grasp that whole "less is more," "show not tell" mentality thing. WIN! The subtlety of Ronon's scars (Rodney's shy admission that he healed them was FAB) and Teyla's private grief over the death of her father. The dumbstruck Zelenka when Rodney's all, "......yeah, I kind of like you as a person." I felt like this episode actually sold me on the Rodney-is-shades-of-normal better than, say, "Trinity" or that one where he had an alternate self. I really.......... felt like David Hewitt was a good actor. I mean! Yes.

John and Elizabeth have lunch together! She used his phrasing, "releasing your burden." (WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT, wow, guys, way to dip into BSG's pool there. "Release your burden"? And McKay was practically Starbuck in that throwing Liz's "love" admission back at her............. even if they will NEVER BE HOT PILOTS STEALING EACH OTHER TOYS.)

LOLZ WRITERS, THANK YOU FOR COUCHING SHEPPARD'S LOVE ADMISSION, TOO, SO IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM SEEM GAY. l. o. l.

In conclusion, FAB. And YAY for continuing to push that whole "John Sheppard is not shy about loving the ladies."

(THERE ARE SPOILERS BEYOND 3X14 BELOW HERE, FYI.)

YOU GUYS. I just realized. If they ever did a Wraith version of this episode, it could be called........ wait for it..... THE TAO OF STEVE. HA HA HA ISN'T THAT CLEVER?

Facts:
1. "Sunday" got its airing switched with "Tao of McKay" (and possibly others, it's hard to say) by the studio.

2. "Sunday" is about, among other things, [spoiler]a bomb that kills people.
2a. Actors (okay, so I think it was Torri) made comments that lead one to believe there is a funeral in the future.[/spoiler]

3. [accidental spoilering protection]Paul McGillion's leaving the series.[/terror]

4. "Tao of McKay" features [ :( ]Dr. Beckett[/ :( ].

...

Possible conclusion: [AJHDSAKJHSK]Guys, I think Beckett's going to die inna bomb :( :( :( :( :( :( :( (Why does this franchise enjoy killing its doctors? yikesorama)[/asjdhakjsdh]
