To know the face of God is to know madness.

Here I am, in my living room, attempting to decipher Jane Eyre's anxiety dreams and the incident with the veil, and what do I find on television as my background noise? Laura Roslin's dream/vision in "Flesh and Bone."

I can't remember if I've rambled about this yet or not? I'm too lazy to check. S1 *AND* S2, to 2x09, baby. )

You think maybe someone should ask Caprica!Sharon that, since she's all up and helpful and could finally tell me if Gaeta is a toaster or not?

Sadly - or maybe not so sad, because YAY - I really don't think Gaeta is a Cylon. Sadly, no. If she really is helping the Fleet, I mean absolutely truly, there's no way she wouldn't say "oh, by the way, the guy in CIC is one of us, too." 'Course, she could be not helping them, and then he's still possibly a Cylon.

And. Um. I haven't contemplated writing Sharon/Gaeta, nooo...

I had the same thought when I watched last week's episode. However, I'm just saying that someone should sit down and interrogate the helpful little cylon, don't you think? If they had time to build a ship from spare parts, they totally could've done that by now.

addendum: however, we still have no idea who left the note in adama's quarters about there being ONLY TWELVE CYLONS OMG, right? Because I feel like someone should have asked that question. Because... really, what would the motivation be for leaving that note except to mislead him?

ARGH NO. This is why I don't like to think about BSG. Watch it, yes. Think about it, NO. That way lies only nosebleeds.

I remember listening to Ron Moore's commentary on the mini and he said that it was Baltar who left Adama the note (after what Six told him prior to her getting blown up on Caprica), but that the scene was cut for time and to create a bit of mystery. But, yeah, I've always wondered why they never followed up on that.

Aww, but thinking is fun and a great way to avoid going to class!

I think everyone might still be in "if we ask it questions, it r a person ohnoes!!!!!1!" mode. Which, seriously? needs to stop.

.... you're joking. That's just fantastically stupid. They interrogated Leoben, didn't they? But I guess if they interrogated her, she'd either tell them everything (taking away much of the tension of the show), or NOT tell them everything and tip her hand that she's not totally on their side. Either way, it resolves a lot of tension of the Boomer storyline, and so they're probably dragging it on as long as possible.

GRR. I hate being forced to realize that it's a TV show!

Yeah. Plot. Huh.

But maybe the fact that they did interrogate Leoben and all they got were lies and mistruths and that whole business about Adama being a Cylon... is precisely why they didn't even bother with Sharon.

WAIT, IT'S NOT REAL??! *HAS LIFE CRISIS*

I think they're so petrified of her they don't want to go near her. Adama sends Helo to ask Sharon about the logic bomb. He doesn't send one of the guys who figured it out, Gaeta or Baltar, and he doesn't go himself, in spite of the imminent threat it poses to his ship. He sends a guy who isn't a computer expert, and whose loyalty is in significant question (note that Adama ordered Tyrol to guard everyone when he went into the Tomb of Athena: the Cylon, the terrorist whose buddy just tried to assassinate Adama, and Helo). If Helo were collaborating with the Cylons, sending him to question Sharon about the Cylon virus would be a fairly stupid move ( ... )

But see, I'm not talking about trusting her. If anyone (besides Helo) trusted her at this point, I would SCREAM at them. I mean, I LOVE Boomer, but, as you said, I'm not in their situation.

I was more just surprised that they didn't want to beat the hell out of her (or threaten to -- not actually have to if she just talks openly) and hit her up for information, or at least run experiments on her. They were going to do that with the old Sharon, who I miss a lot *sobs*. I just... eh. I don't think that Fear Of Her -- or even the desire to keep her a secret from the rest of the fleet -- is a good enough excuse to really make this make sense. They don't HAVE to accept that she is who or what she says she is in order to go forward here. Roslin was ready to shove her out an airlock before she proved useful.. so... exploit the usefulness, omg! I'm most surprised that Roslin didn't insist on having her debriefed and/or interrogated... but I suppose Roslin has, er, other things on her mind at the moment ( ... )
