Tell me that I'm not the only one who has ever heard Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop's parody of The Nutcracker. (Also, notice that I refer to them as two seperate people.) I can't have been the only dorky small child!
I wish I could find that cassette tape. Because there are certain riffs in the ballet that that has COMPLETELY RUINED (in a good way).
Speaking of this, I just realized that the version of The Nutcracker that my parents taped off PBS for me when I was quite small, a tape that I watched so many times that I think I wore it out, had a very young Mikhail Baryshnikov as the prince. As in, you know, ALEXANDER PETROVSKY. Creepy.
