On April 6, 2005, Rutgers University will participate in TOPOFF 3, an international readiness exercise coordinated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the New Jersey Domestic Security Preparedness Task Force. This full-scale exercise is designed to strengthen the nation's capacity to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from large scale terrorist attacks. The exercise simulates a coordinated terrorist attack involving biological, chemical, or radiological weapons or other weapons of mass destruction.

Rutgers University will participate in the coordinated response to a simulated biological attack involving the pneumonic plague. The Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC) will serve as a pharmaceutical distribution site for Middlesex County. To test the capabilities of this site to distribute mass quantities of antibiotics, the University needs your help. To effectively simulate pharmaceutical distribution in a national State of Emergency the University needs 2,000 volunteers between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 6, 2005. Volunteers will be transported by bus from designated locations throughout the University to the RAC. All volunteers will receive a TOPOFF t-shirt. If you volunteer, you will help the state, the nation and Rutgers be prepared for a future emergency.

So... yeah. That should be fun.
