your guess is as good as mine

I won't lie: I'm exhausted. This took far, far, far too long to acquire, and I don't even think these are sufficient words, but I am going to the opera tomorrow (! fancy), and there's also hipster Doctor Who, so I don't want this to get lost in the shuffle, and YEAH, ACTUALLY I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WAY THIS SHOW CHOOSES TO BE. SO.

MY NAME IS ALEX DRAKE AND, QUITE FRANKLY... YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE.

If that ends up being the running Season 3 credit narration, I will die of LOL + epic happiness.

- This season is about the fact that Alex loves Gene? I AM ON BOARD WITH THAT.

- So far, this entire episode was shot in the same coloring as my favoritest Spooks episodes. Actually, this doesn't mean anything really, I'm just glad it was PRETTY AS HELL.

- Thank you, ohvienna, the mere mention of Molly sends me into fits now. I DON'T EVEN BELIEVE YOUR THEORY, AND YET.

- CHRIS. AND. SHAZ. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU AND WHY ARE YOU NOT GETTING MARRIED ANYMORE?

- This Jim Keats character: I want to say epic things about that last scene with him and Gene in Gene's office, when Keats drops his aww-shucks routine and becomes SINISTER AND WHAT NOT! It was like an entire conversation in epic metaphors, and whoa I felt like I was in an episode of Lost featuring Jacob and the Man in Black, true story. (TRUE. STORY.) Jim Keats, are you the Policeman come to warn Gene Hunt that he can't actually mess that much with the people he is sent to "watch" (!!!! THEORY)?! Did shooting Bolly, however unintentionally, have nearly epic consequences that, I don't know, almost ripped a hole in space-time? (I'm just making things up now, honestly.) I'm sorry, but that was one Fictional Construct talking to Another, and they both knew it. "YOU BOUND BY THE LIMITS OF THIS PLACE." Jesus Christ, the hairs on my neck over that part.

- This crazy ghost dead person: clearly, I want it to be Sam Tyler. Even though that is... unfortunate, uncomfortable, and sort of gross.

- Someone for the love of God write an epic meta on Alex's sub-subconscious (that's what the coma-reality was, right?) use of the Kings of Leon track, "Sex on Fire."

...

Yeah, I need to watch this again, but saner, and less red-wine-y.

Thoughts?

ashes to ashes
