I could talk about how much I've enjoyed Battlestar Galactica - how it's my ultimate abusive husband, Space Mom and Space Dad, Michael Hogan's amazing acting eye, PILOTS YAY, Greek mythology in space, Gaeta is a toaster and has been one from the start (WHAT I CAN STILL CLING), THE VERY EXISTENCE OF THE WORD "FRAK," the music (oh. man. I could talk about the music), all of this has happened before, CYLONS (yeah, yeah, don't h8, I love the robots). I could make a list of my favorite episodes and have really smart and intelligent things to say about them. I could go through my greatest hits of epic BSG speculation and analysis posts (I went back and checked; there used to be lots of those). I could even express my emotions right now in pictorial form:

NONE OF THIS COULD SAY WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID.
Instead, there's this, from the very first mention of BSG in this Livejournal, circa January 2005: "I promptly turned it off, though, because DUDE! So do not need more science fiction on a Friday night."

THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU. I THINK I MET ABOUT 75% OF YOU BECAUSE OF THIS SHOW, OR BONDED WITH YOU OVER THIS SHOW, OR SOMETHING.
NO SERIOUSLY. I FRAKKING MEAN IT FROM THE BOTTOM OF WHISKEY-SOAKED HEART. WHAT I WILL MISS MOST OF ALL ARE THE EPIC FRIDAY (AND SOMETIMES SUNDAY, THAT TIME SCIFI HAD A HEAD INJURY) NIGHT POSTS. SURE, THERE WILL BE MANY EPIC CAPSLOCK POSTS FOR MANY SHOWS TO COME IN THE ONE AND FUTURE FUTURE. BUT IT WON'T BE THE SAME. LOST CAPSLOCK POSTS NEVER HELD THE SAME PROMINENCE IN MY HEART AS BATTLESTAR, WHETHER IT BE HERE IN THIS LIVEJOURNAL OR A PARTY SOMEWHERE ELSE ON THE INTERWEBS. I WILL MISS MOMENT LIKE THIS (spoilers for 4x09, natch). THE CLEVERLY CHOSEN SUBJECT LINES, THE INEVITABLE LJ-CUT TAG SNAFU THAT SPOILS EVERYONE.
