We were talking about female victims of domestic violence, when my professor said that we would get extra credit if we watched a show or movie portraying this topic and then wrote a paper about it. One girl then asked where we could view such programming, to which I answered out loud: the Lifetime Channel. I'm betting money that they're plugging some movie about a woman, whose husband beat her, then by some miracle, she realizes her strength, somehow manages to leave him, and then becomes some major leader. It will air this Sunday night. It will also be given a cheesy name such as "Courage of a Woman," or some other nauseating name.
The Lifetime Channel blows. If it's the "channel for women," then why is it that most of their movies show some woman getting the shit beaten out of her?
