So this post will be more of a Friday Five type of thing, since I am not sure that there will be any particular topic, I want to whine about thoroughly. So this is a happy sort of complacent post about me and January, together… again, without a fire thrower… again.
1] In order to make room for the newest generation of novels in the family libraries, some titles from another era had to take a small trip, a permanent trip. We have tried to get rid of them for quite a while, a list of 110 books and it was painfully slow. Today I went to the last possible place to buy and I managed to get 15. It was disappointing because I will get around 6 bucks for the load, a sum that is not a reason to leave home for. But we will get some spare change, which is yay, since I will be the most likely one to get it.
2] I saw a miniskirt… I usually am not smitten over such trivial matters, but it’s January and unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere that is no ways comfortable. Temperature around me dropped with additional 10 degrees after seeing this. Vanity is a slow killer. Before you know it, you will be injecting toxic waste to make your boobs turn into disco rainbow balls.
3] I sent in my first real letter today. I feel so proud, but the clerk was quite mean with me. My mouth almost slipped and relabeled her biological species, but I remained charming and smiled sheepishly. I hope I sent it right… *wishing luck*
4] My review blog
“Temple Library Reviews” received an award Premio Dardos. The award "Dardos" appreciates the merits - culturally, literary and individually- of every blogger who expresses him/herself on his/her blog. Quite cool. It’s not a real, real award, a Blogger thing, but it makes me feel important. People need more awards like these, because they serve as moral booster that even though your blog doesn’t get 60+ comments each post you are being read and appreciated. God knows how many times I have been asking myself the same.
5] I am back a word count of 1,5 K to finish my story and I am just spilling my thoughts on the screen, not worrying at all. That is the best part of writing. I bet that when the refining part comes it will be a lot shittier for me, but yeah part of the game. I am just happy to be back in the game.
