say what you need to say
Once again, John Mayer has overflown from my life and into my first blog. Although most people feel like blogging is almost second nature to them, this is an enormous step for me. I mean it is letting the world know who you really are, without any make up to hide your face, no clothes from which people can judge you - it's just you. With the holidays wrapping up its time to return to "reality." However over the break, I caught myself caught up in the commercialization of Christmas (i want to apologize right now for not being politically correct). I forgot what the holidays are really about - family and friends. It took a wise little boy in yellow named Charlie Brown to help me realize this. Pathetic eh? I mean I had to watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" to snap me out of it. It just made me realize the state in which the world is in today. As I continue to hopefully find myself in this world I need to make sure that I find myself outside of the media, and what comes with it. I don't want to sound like I'm preaching but I hope everyone finds out who they are, regardless of the stereotypes of who we all are suppose to be.
I hope you all are celebrating something together, whether it be Christmas, Eid or even if your celebrating the invention of hot chocolate - pour another glass for the person next to you and enjoy!
