Bette is a player. No judgment in that. She just loves to flirt, to seduce. And boy, she enjoys having sex. It actually took her a long time to have her first girlfriend: she was 24 when that happened. Her choice, obviously. She had been asked since she was 15. But what’s the fun of a relationship?
Bette loves being a player. She is well aware she broke a lot of hearts during her life. And she has no idea how things happened with Tina, to tell the truth. One moment she was free and the other, tamed. Willingly. Happily.

When Bette was in her thirties, a gorgeous blonde stepped in her way and she hasn’t stop looking at her since then. Even when they were apart - which happened exclusively because of Bette’s own stupidity, and she knows it - Tina always had the ability to command her attention.
She found out that she can’t function if she knows she’ll not have Tina by her side at night. She discovered she drinks and smokes a lot to ease the pain. She did try to love other people, but she couldn’t.
Bette plays a game she can’t win, and she knows it.

Tina’s afraid of her feelings for Bette. Bette probably can’t live without Tina. Kit looks at both of them and smiles, because it’s blatant how layered their love is. She’s glad her sister found someone; her fear had always been that Bette would never be able to commit. When your mother leaves when you’re a child and your sister pushes you away then disappears before you’re 13, it gets hard to hold on to people.
Tina’s grounded, down-to-earth, and loyal to the bone: she balances Bette out in a great way. She domesticated Bette, and Kit adores her for it.
