This damn virus won't let go of me!!!
I'm taking a half day today. Yesterday I went home early.
I just can's seem to shake this virus! I've had it since Sunday! I'd go to the doctor, but they'd just tell me it has to run its course!
At least now I'm able to stomach some bland food. Ice cream has been my friend this morning.
I'm going in at 1, which means I'll be staying until we close at 6:30. I'm almost wishing now I'd been able to drag myself into work! I hate closing!
Of course I got the guilt trip when I called the opening assistant director. "I don't have anyone! What should I do?"... Uh, I don't know... I don't make those decisions. And I don't get paid enough to make that decision. Sorry. I had/still kinda have a slight temp. It was 100.3 this morning. It's 99.6 now. Just enough to make me feel crumby at this point, but this morning I was light-headed and nauseated. If I'd gone in this morning, I'd have had to go home early again, I just know it. That, and someone was scheduled to be there 30 min after me today, so it's not like she had NOONE there to help. So, at least I'm mustering up the strength to go in for this afternoon! And if I get bitched at, see if I ever muster my strength up again! I'll just call in for the whole day! Sheesh. At least appreciate what I CAN do. I DID make it TO work yesterday, so there'd be someone there in the morning. It's rare that I call in for the whole day...I try to at least help out where I can!
Another thing that kinda got me this morning was that the assistant director was like "Well, who's going to be here at 7?"... I was like, "Um..I don't know, my hours are 7:30-4:30". She's like, "No they changed that because of [another co-worker] and you're 7-4 now".
HUH??? Ok, 1) they never told me that; 2) I came in at 7:30 yesterday and noone said anything about me being "late"; 3) they'd switched my co-lead 7-4 when I was on my mini-vacation this past weekend, but when I asked her why, she said "I don't know." 4) that same co-lead called me monday night making sure I'd be there at 7:30. So, SOMEONE goofed, and it wasn't me! Granted, I wouldn't MIND being 7-4, since I'd be out at 4 everyday, and as long as they can guarantee I get out at 4 each day. ie: SCHEDULE someone to be in my room at 4?! Yeah, we'll see how THAT goes...
GRRR... Don't you just love inadequate management???? *sigh*
Well, I'd better find something else bland to eat, and then get ready for work. I have to be in at 1, but I have to leave at 12:20 to be there on time. That and I may get there a little earlier to talk to my boss about this supposed time change.
