eek!!!
Man, I hope I'm not slipping back into my "I'm so busy, I can't even update LJ anymore" stage... It's been 6 days!
But then, I've always been one to only update when something semi-EXCITING happens in my life, which isn't exactly every day!
For instance, in the last 6 days, I went to work, had fun times and issues with co-workers (the usual crap when you work with ALL WOMEN!)... I got my car back, and it looks like it's in mint condition and runs great (only had bodily damage... nothing internal)... that was my work week...WOW! how exciting.
Yesterday, I went to a friend's wedding, and I'd been asked to videotape the whole thing. Fine! No problem.........EXCEPT that 10 minutes prior to the ceremony, my digital camcorder decides to totally FLIP OUT!! It wouldn't shut off, the screen would go haywire if I pressed zoom... we think it was the tripod's screw-in attachment..for some reason the pressure of the screw was causing my camera to short out...or something like that. It worked GREAT when I was just holding it. So, I eventually got it to calm down while on the tripod, and I had my heart in my throat the WHOLE time during the 20-min ceremony, PRAYING that the camera would at least chill out enough for me to record the ceremony. (yes, there I was, in a church (granted, not my denomination, but still)...PRAYING that my CAMERA would work. Me, who hasn't been to church since Easter (I know...tsk tsk)...) I felt sorta...hm..what's the word... hypocritical? But, I believe God knows I'm trying to do my best, and I was praying for his help for the sake of someone else (I was the ONLY one recording...!!!) The camera worked, so I guess the praying worked :)
So, maybe I should try to get to church sometime soon... thank God a bit :)
FYI: I'm actually very spiritual.. I just don't always make it to church. But I know God is with me... and I laugh at all the stuff he puts me through on a daily basis. Ever feel like Job? Well, occasionally at least :)
