I want to cut my arm off. All day today I've been itching like crazy. Basically what happened is that last week it was cold here (around 65 or 70) and I was always wearing long sleeves and long pants so I didn't get any flea bites. I thought they were gone, seeing as how my room was vaccumed, my clothes were washed and my sheets were washed. So Sunday night I wore short sleeves to bed because it was getting hotter, and I woke up with 7, yes 7, flea bites. One on my arm, 2 on my elbow, one of the back of my hand, one on my thumb where the joint is, one on my eyelid and one on the side of my face. They itch like hell and I want to cry because it's ugly and it itches and it's annoying. 2 1/2 weeks more, that's it. This is why I can't wait to have my own bed back. Fucking cat and GD fleas.
I'm super excited for everything that's going to happen when I get back. Time with Brad, time with KA, time with Meg.... woohoo :-)
I think I fully understand now the inner workings of the passé composé, l'imparfait and the plus-que-parfait. Yay for being in a class that's way too similar to 201/202.
I checked my account yesterday and I saw that I have $45. Yep, that's it. I owe Liz $558 (I found out the exact number today) so I need to ask the parents for oh.... $600. That's gonna be REAL fun. I always forget just how much more the euro is than the dollar. That and even being really cheap you spend about $10 a day and if you're not cheap then you could spend $70 a day. Oy....
I'm looking forward to Bastille Day on Thursday. We don't have class, which is good. My host mom took "several" (I don't know how many exactly because she won't tell me) weeks of PAID vacation... stupid french people and their congés. So now I avoid going home because I don't want to put up with my host mom. That's bad, I know. It's just as bad as actually being at home.
I know this sounds like a lot of bitching, but besides these few things I'm still loving it here. It's really amazing. I just don't want to be in class. Because class sucks. Beaucoup.
And that is all. Plus tard yo.
