BIOTA - Deleted Scene

Kurt/Blaine - NC-17

After Rachel’s party in Blame it on the Alcohol, Kurt needs to take drunk Blaine home. Blaine’s parents are out for the night so Kurt decides Blaine better sleep it off at his house. Aka this is the story of how Burt found Blaine in Kurt’s bed.

“Your brother is so tall!” Blaine said as he staggered forwards, tripping over his own feet.

“Woah, hey, careful,” Kurt said. He quickly moved forwards, catching Blaine before he fell over. Lifting Blaine’s arm up, he placed it around his own shoulders so he could steadily carry the other boy to his car before he smashed his face on the pavement.

“How did he get so tall, Kurt? How?” Blaine asked eagerly. He smiled at Kurt sweetly, looking like he really wanted to know.

Kurt smiled back uncomfortably. “Uh - I don’t know. Maybe his dad or…?” he trailed off. Blaine nodded, apparently pleased with the answer.

Kurt sighed. This was not the night he had planned. The night he had planned involved Blaine finally realising that he was in love with Kurt and then asking him to be his boyfriend. Or at least involved the two of them making out in Rachel’s back garden while the rest of the glee club were otherwise busy at the party.

He had even bought a new shirt for the party. Red was one of the four colours (the others being white, dark blue and purple) that really looked good on him and he had read in this month’s Vogue that wearing red or pink (the colours of love) around someone you’re interested in attracts them to you like fashion pheromones.

Kurt had to hide his grin when he picked Blaine up and he was wearing red also. Thinking about it now, how stupid was he? Blaine was probably only wearing red because it went really well with his skin tone. He wasn’t looking at attracting anyone.

At least, he didn’t think he was.

When Blaine and Rachel kissed, the bottom fell out of Kurt’s stomach and he felt sick. Watching the man he was in love with make out with Rachel Berry was almost too much to watch. Thankfully everyone else was too busy laughing and drinking to see Kurt’s devastated expression. If he had not promised Blaine a ride home, he would have downed the rest of the punch Puck made earlier.

And that duet! There was no denying that Blaine looked fantastic, if not a little crazy, but who did Rachel think she was kidding?

Blaine was gay.

Rachel was clearly deluded and drunk. Drunk as hell. She had made a fool of herself. Even Finn thought so.

Fumbling in his jacket pocket, Kurt pulled out his car keys. Unlocking the door, he helped Blaine into the passenger side before climbing into the driver’s seat.

“Will your parents be ok with you coming home drunk?” Kurt asked. He hadn’t met Blaine’s parents yet, Blaine had been waiting on the porch when he arrived earlier to pick him up.

Blaine, who had been staring at the moon out of the window, turned to face him. “Huh?”

“Your parents. Do they mind you drinking?” Kurt repeated, starting to get a little annoyed. Thank God you’re cute.

“My parents are out for the night,” Blaine replied. “Won’t be home until tomorrow.”

Kurt frowned. He couldn’t leave Blaine drunk and alone for the entire night, what if something happened? What if he fell asleep and didn’t wake up? What if he threw up? Who would look after him? Making the decision, Kurt turned the engine on and drove in the opposite direction they came in.

“You need to sober up, you’ll come home with me,” Kurt said, avoiding Blaine’s gaze. He was sure he was blushing but couldn’t tell in this light if it was noticeable.

“Sweet!” Blaine exclaimed. Kurt tried not to read anything into it, but he was sure Blaine’s grin had just increased.

When Kurt pulled into his driveway he noted that Finn hadn’t come home yet from dropping Rachel, Tina and Mercedes off. Looking up at the left hand top window, Kurt saw that his dad and Carole’s light was off. Breathing a sign of relief, he got out and opened the door for Blaine.

Blaine jumped out and started to giggle.

“Sssh!” Kurt said quietly. “My parent’s light is off, they must be asleep already. We don’t want to wake them up.” Locking the car door, Kurt started to make his way to the house when he felt Blaine take his hand. Flushing crimson, he looked down at the other boy who looked like he was coming down from his alcohol induced high. Blaine simply smiled at him and placed his index finger to his lips to show that he understood.

Fighting the urge to laugh, Kurt let them both in. The downstairs was dark, so using the light of his iPhone, Kurt guided Blaine upstairs and into his bedroom. Closing the door carefully, Kurt turned on the side lamp on his desk.

“Um, I guess you can have the bed and I’ll have the floor?” Kurt said, looking down at his feet as he rubbed his neck gingerly, hoping to sound casual. He heard a squeak of the mattress and looked up to find Blaine crawling under his blankets fully clothed, his shoes lying in a mess on the floor.

“Get in,” Blaine said plainly. He wasn’t giggling anymore and Kurt had no idea if this was a come on, or simply a friend too drunk to realise what he was asking.

Kurt swallowed hard. “Uh, let me get changed first,” he mumbled, grabbing his pyjamas from the end of the bed and striding into the bathroom. He stripped quickly, pulling on the pants and shirt like his life depended on it. And then he froze. Blaine Anderson had asked him to bed. They were going to share a bed. “Oh shit.” Kurt grabbed the front of his pants, feeling suddenly mortified. “Think of the mail, think of the mail.” He willed himself to calm down and after a few minutes, took a sigh of relief before returning to the bedroom.

Where he was met with Blaine lying face down in the pillow, drooling.

Kurt smiled fondly at him. He looked so innocent, so lovely right now. His beautiful eyelashes, longer than any man’s Kurt had ever seen, only escalating how incredible he looked.

Kurt carefully turned the lamp off and crawled into the other side of the bed, trying not to wake him. Lying flat on his back, Kurt pulled the blankets up to his chest, praying for sleep. It was no easy task. He could feel Blaine’s presence in the bed, hear his soft breathing. Kurt hadn’t shared a bed with another person since his mother had died when neither he nor his dad wanted to sleep alone.

“Goodnight, Blaine,” he whispered to the back of Blaine’s curly head.

Yawning, Kurt snuggled down and closed his eyes. The mattress moved beneath him as Blaine rolled over, his face pressing against Kurt’s cheek and his arm draped over his chest.

Flushing pink, Kurt’s eyes shot open and he looked down at the peaceful Warbler. What should he do? What could he do? Kurt didn’t know how to respond. Should he cuddle back? Roll out of reach? Honestly, when was he going to get another opportunity to cuddle with Blaine in bed?

He was about to reach out to hold Blaine’s hand, because after all, he was asleep, how would he know? Until…

“Oh, Kurt,” Blaine murmured. Kurt’s whole body turned rigid. “You’re so soft.” Kurt caught his breath in his throat and he almost choked. Staring down at Blaine, he saw that he was clearly asleep. He was breathing audibly and his eyelids were trembling, a sign that he was dreaming.

Blaine snuggled closer to Kurt and sighed in his sleep. Kurt did the only thing he could think of. He turned his head slowly, placing a tender kiss on Blaine’s temple. He then whispered, so quietly that it was more a breath than actual words, “I love you, Blaine Anderson.”
