I'll think of things to say so I don't have to do my homework

Hello friends.

Last night I went to the Harmony Concert. My soul now belongs to Sri Chinmoy. Goodbye.

Actually, no. They didn't even try to convert us! It was just this guy playing extremely bad music extremely poorly. Even in my giddily-drunken state, I still thought it was the worst music I've ever heard outside an elementary school recital. After each piece, about 10% of the audience defected. My companion and I could not look at each other, lest we start laughing and ruin the mood. We left about 45 minutes into Chinmoy's set, after about half the audience was gone. I sort of wanted to stay to the end to see if anything would happen (I'm not sure what I expected), but we couldn't take it any longer.

I cannot put the sheer awfulness of this into words. It was the worst music I've ever heard. Wesley Willis (the artist behind such classics as "Rock & Roll McDonald's" and "I whooped Batman's Ass") possesses far greater talent, both in composition and performance.

Fun fact about Sri Chinmoy: According to the program we were given, he has written over 18,000 songs.

Sadly, I did not make it to Shakina, which means that I have not been converted to any religion this weekend (so far).

As you've probably guessed, I'm updating my journal because I have a shitload of homework due tomorrow that I have not even started. Most pressing is an eight-page essay exam that is due tomorrow morning. (I'm not sure why it's called an exam.) I also have a big-ish paper due for the Worst Class Ever on Tuesday. And I'm sort of supposed to have read a rather large novel by tomorrow morning.

Ok, back to work.
