Sorry its a bit short and crap but its just building up to more stuff :P x x
Sian crashed back down onto the sofa and buried her head in her pillow. She felt really weak and helpless. She considered chasing after Sophie but thought that she just needed some time to cool off. Little did she know that Sophie was right outside the door waiting for Sian to come and rescue her and tell her that everything is going to be alright. But that never came.
After a little while, Sophie walked away in floods of tears. She couldn’t go home in this state, her parents would give her a serious interrogation. Sophie decided to go to the park and find a space in some hidden trees so she could calm herself down.
She found herself in a familiar space. It was when she ran away from school that one time after having another argument with Sian about seeing her and Karen kiss.
Omg. I can’t believe I have brought myself here again. I didn’t even notice, Sophie though as she placed herself on the log. She started to quietly weep to herself.
She then heard some rustling behind some bushes and a twig snap. Sophie’s head shot up and quickly whipped away the tears that has been streaming down her face. “Who is it?” she tried shouting, disguising her fear. “Who are you?” she shouted again but with a bit of a shake. She stood up and started to back away cautiously. A tall figure emerged from the low branches of the tree.
“Relax it’s only me”, he replied.
“Oh. What are you doing here?” Sophie asked defensively as she crossed her arms.
“There’s no need to cross your arms Sophie. I’m not gonna hurt you”, he said soothingly.
“What?”
“I’m doing psychology now, I know all about the body language.”
“Oh”, Sophie replied as she forcefully dropped her arms to her sides. She was rocking herself from one foot to the other and looking anywhere but his eyes. There was an awkward silence before anything else happened. “So?”
“So what?”
“So what are ya doing here Ryan?” Sophie said like he was stupid or something.
The tall dark haired boy just shrugged and put his hands in his pockets. “Dunno. This is where I come to think. Then I found you here and it looks like that you’ve already has dibs.”
“You? Thinking? Don’t make me laugh”, Sophie replied while crossing her arms again automatically.
“Yea, I do actually. And there you go again, crossing your arms”, he replied slightly cocky, nodding his head towards her chest.
“I do it automatically! And plus I’m a little cold. Got a problem with that?”
“No. Why would I have a problem with you being cold? But if you are then maybe you should go home.”
“Why should I? I was here first. You only want me to go so you can toss ya self off, you wanker. And besides, I can’t go home.” Sophie quietened her last sentence.
“Oh ay? Why’s that then Webster?”
“I can’t go home in this state can I?”
“Just come home with me?”
“And why would I wanna do that?”
“Cuz you got no place else to go. Cuz your cold. Cuz you need comforting. Cuz you might be hungry? Or thirty?”
“Who do you think you are, Mother Theresa?”
“No. I’m St. Paul”
“St. Prick by the sounds of it. And looks of it for that matter”, Sophie mumbled.
“Please yourself then”, Ryan said as he turned to walk away.
“Wait!” Sophie paused. “Okay I’ll come with ya. But only for a cuppa. And a biscuit”, she said while a faint smile formed on her face. Ryan’s smile however was clear enough.

Meanwhile, back at Sian’s flat, she still had her head buried in the cushion, still beating herself up if leaving Sophie was the wisest thing to do. She got up from the sofa and poured herself a glass of wine to calm herself down a bit. She slowly sipped the contense of the glass and slammed it down on the counter. She picked up the wine bottle and was about to pour another glass but something stopped her. She paused and looked at what was in her hand.
“Shit! What the hell am I doing? I can’t turn to the drink whenever something gets stressful”, she said to herself. Sian you’re a teacher, every day is stressful. “But this is different.” How is it different? “Cuz I love Sophie. She’s important to me”, Sian was saying out loud to herself, fighting with conscience again. “God I think things through way too much”, Sian finally said as she quickly put the wine bottle back in the cupboard. She just stood there with her thoughts in the kitchen with her head in her hands, rubbing her face. “Uggghh it’s far too late to go after her now, she’ll be long gone.”
