Character(s)/Pairing(s): Kirk, Spock, McCoy
Rating & Warnings: PG
Word Count: 190
Summary: A rescue from McCoy's pov

He'd fought it as long as he could, but how long could a man hold out against Limbo?  Cold gray tendrils of fog had suspended him in the middle of nothing, draining the color from his thoughts, his soul, until he was little more than the gray nothingness that surrounded him - an empty wraith and still it held him, seeping in through his skin, into his very bones...

"Bones!"

Hands shaking him. Human warmth slowly registered on McCoy's numbed senses as those hands hauled him to his feet.
"Come on!  Spock's got it frozen for the moment, but we need to get out now."

Stumbling, he ran, leaning against the man half-carrying him until at the edge of murky nothingness they reached a spot of blue, bright in the dismal mist.  Another hand, even warmer, clasped his arm.

"Mr. Scott, three to beam up."

He dissolved again, but this time into shimmering light and in the next moment he was in bright room. The same hands still held him and impossibly blue eyes looked into his, shining with relief and reassurance.

"It's okay Bones. We've got you. You're home."
