Summary: What's a guy to do when he wakes up in a motel room with a crying girl? [vague spoilers for 7x18]
He wakes to Thirteen crying.
A thought flits through his mind that most guys would get up, ignore the throbbing in their legs, and hobble over to comfort her. Hell, most guys would jump at the opportunity presented by the vulnerability and the fresh out of jailness. But House isn't most guys, and, even if he was, most girls are dumber than Thirteen. Responsive as his body is to the mere idea of sex with Thirteen, he doesn't do comfort and he definitely doesn't jump, and she'd see straight through that bullshit and shut herself behind even more tightly locked doors than the ones he's already opened.
So he pretends Thirteen's crying didn't wake him and lies there puzzling over what the hell she did.
