“So this is what’s left of your original suit of armor?” Pepper asked, wandering through the scraps salvaged from Obadiah Stane’s secret lab.
“Yeah, that’s the Mark I. It’s kludgy, but we had to work with what we had, and make the Ten Rings think it was goingi to be a missile,” Tony replied.
Pepper carefully suppressed any reaction to the plural. “I think I like it. Very Victorian Steampunk.”
“It got the job done.” Tony stared at a computer screen rather than look at her.
Pepper ambled over and hugged him from behind. “In that case, I love it.”
