Summary: The young Asgardians land in the realm of the Frost Giants. Loki finds it as troubling as the rest and then some.
The Asgardians were shocked speechless at the bitter desolation they found in Jotunheim. Their long-ago war had been hard on the Frost Giants’ realm, they knew, but they had not expected anything so grim.
It was a long hard slog through perpetually replenishing snowbanks to reach the Jotuns’ stronghold. Loki glanced back, saw the Bifrost’s runes vanishing under swirls of white and ice.
The others, born for a perpetual summer, felt the cold to the marrow of their bones. Loki was both disturbed and oddly at ease in these wintry elements; that frightened him more than facing their ancient foes.
