There is something almost magical about a sunrise. It may sound strange to some of you who read this, but those who have REALLY looked at one will understand this. I don't mean those who see one, because millions of people SEE the sunrise, but the feeling and understanding is nothing like those who LOOK at it. The past two nights I have worked the 11pm-7am shift at another hotel here in Williamsburg, helping them out. As you look at the sun cresting the hill, the first rays of light breaking through the trees, you see more than sun. There is so much more there. The past two mornings I walked outside around first light and stared at the trees, breathing in the fresh air, watching the sun rise. An hour later I am in my car, driving down the empty streets of Williamsburg back to my house to sleep through the morning, a song played on my radio.
I have changed recently. I am a new me. I have left a lot behind, and I have brought a lot with me. This is my past 48 hours. :-)
