I am SUCH a dork
So I was compelled. COMPELLED to explain what Larping was to a friend of mine because her boys are getting into it and she thought it was drugs or something sinister. If you're not in the know, Larping is Live Action Role Playing.
Then I had to explain who Smeagol was. If you don't know, he's Gollum from Lord of the Rings before he turned into Gollum.
Her response: "So he's the ugly little gray elf dude in Lord of the Rings?"
Me: *sigh* "That's one way of putting it."
Her response: "Huh."
God, I'm such a dork. I should have let her think it was drugs. (Not really.)
