Excitement at the bridge table

My husband just sent me an excited text. He’s at a bridge tournament in Council Bluffs, and Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are there playing.

Somehow 'bridge tournament' and 'exciting' sound mutually exclusive. But I have heard of Bill Gates and - vaguely - Warren Buffet. It's always surprising to see famous people being normal.

It is surprising. You expect them to be in some special place somewhere, not at a bridge tournament in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Ok, I admit I had to look up Warren Buffett. But other than that, I'm very pleased that Mr daw stumbled into nerd heaven :-D

He referred to them as "Warren" and "Bill" when he got home last night, though I don't think he spoke to either one.
