Scoop On My Nepal Summer Holiday Part 1
WOOHOO!!! OK i finally got to go back home and meet the folks again after almost 3 years! And i saw ma home country after 5 years since i last dropped by in 2001. So here is what it was like....
I left on the 1st of August Canadian and reached Nepal on the 3rd Nepal... My mom cried as usual when she saw me..later she told me that she was standing on the porch looking at the planes to see that mine had landed..she was anxious as mine was delayed and instead of landing at 6.45am in da morn, i landed at 8pm.. my dad and bro were waiting for me at the airport..dad and i took a cab back home while ma bro was on his bike, showin off...funny how he is younger and he gets to have a friggin bike..sigh..

First trip was to Pokhara..Pokhara valley is a really sweeet place for tourists and locals alike..its a laid-back kinda place..a shark contrast to Kathmandu Valley, the Capitol of Nepal...Pokhara is famous for its lakes and tourist resorts...apparently s being torn apart by the forces for the ground water that flows into the numerous lakes...i was especially excited about this trip 'cuz not only was i going to pokhara for the first time in ma life, i was going to meet my childhood friends there as well!! Here are some pics...
Phewa Taal...Lake Phewa..this is the lake where people go to kayak and boat...no electric boats are allowed here and apparently, the waters can get infested by a certain type of floating plant that threatens the fish species..so they have to do regular maintainance...there is also a path from somewhere across to a stupa ontop of the hill..more on that later...
If you take a boat to the middle of the lake, you'll see a temple in da middle, only accessible by boat..this is the real temple itself...pretty cool..

Begnas Taal..Begnas Lake..a smaller lake more famous for the fishes..you can get them at the few cafe-style places set up..really nice...

The stupa i told you about earlier..its on top of a hill which tooks us about 2 hours to hike up..
