My internet hasn't been working until literally just now, so I haven't seen the episode yet and shall remain blissfully spoilerfree until I have, aka no friends page, no anything.
I do however have some (spoilerfree, well, other than having seen The Stolen Earth) thoughts which can be found below the
First and foremost I am in complete denial about the Doctor regenerating. What with the Christmas and 2009 specials being supposed to be starring David Tennant and all. AND he was only glanced by the Dalek, right? The lightshow didn't even extend to his entire body, so maybe he doesn't need to regenerate... ok, no, doesn't make much sense, seeing that the regeneration has already started. But still. And then there's always Donna and her parallel world thing, maybe she can somehow fix it all? Pretty please?
Apropos Donna, I dread what's going to happen to herk, the foreshadowing has certainly done the trick. Just hope it's not (all) bad and that she doesn't die. Would be most tragic.
Most of the other characters are quite safe I dare say, despite the impeding Dalek doom. Gwen and Ianto (bless) because they wouldn't be killed off on Doctor Who, when Torchwood is so much more convenient for that. I'm thinking maybe Martha will come to the rescue, after all she was conspiciously absent in the last few minutes of the first part.
Same goes for Sarah Jane, who will be doing another series of her own adventures if I'm not mistaken and the Sarah Jane Adventures without Sarah Jane? I think not.
Rose is an entirely different matter though, so here my denial sets in again, because nothing can possibly happen to her, it would just be too cruel.
Now I shall resume keeping my fingers crossed for some happy Who moments amidst the Dalek/Davros crisis and will be back once I have seen it all. Oh my.
