I just went to the uni to hand in my application, 5 hours before the deadline, go me! Anyway, there i was, standing infront of the building, confusedly looking for a non-existant letterbox when a girl walked up to me asking me what I wanted and saying that she knew me from somewhere. And lo and behold, she really did, we went to the same school for a few years, though she was a year ahead of me. After we had established that she showed me halfway around the building, knocked on a window which a minute later was opened by the porter, who was the one accepting the applications (which was of course on no note anywhere); she had just handed in her application as well. In turn I then showed her how to get to the train station.
What are the odds of that happening? Meeting someone you know accidently at the uni at 7 pm when you both hand in your applications?
Also the heat is getting insane here. From jacket-wearing cold to t-shirt-is-too-hot heat in two days? Actually I don't mind the heat that much, contrary to just a few years ago, it's just that it's so intense and present. And because in this country air-conditioning is practically unheard of, especially in public transport, it's downright boiling if you're trying to get somewhere. Internal temperature even higher than outsides. But, for me, it's summer for the first time, yesterday was officially the first day that I only wore a t-shirt when i went outside, as I missed the first heatwave here because I was still in Edinburgh, where it was cold.
Time for a popsicle. :D
