The Boys Are Back
Woke up this morning to Entertainment Weekly’s “Queer as Folk” reunion pics and video, on this Pride weekend in L.A.
Beyond just being thrilled with seeing the cast together again (!) it brings back all the wonderful memories of my first fandom and all the wonderful people who I continue to cherish and the wonderful times we’ve had online and in real life. I was so fortunate to find that fandom and it showed me what fandom can really be : a nurturing, fun and creative space where you can share your enthusiasm for meta critiques or fanfic or recounting sex scenes by episode numbers (110!) seeing Justin top Brian for the first time or Brian telling Justin he stinks after he was with Ethan or Michael and Ben having hot awesome sex!
