A few weeks ago Las Vegas hosted 5,000 exhibitors (movie theater owners, associates) for their annual CinemaCon in which studios show their wares to excited and a tad nervous, theater owners.

CinemaCon kicked off last Monday with Sony Pictures offerings of Edgar Wright’s (“Shaun of the Dead”) “Baby Driver” starring Ansel Elgort (that name rivals Jensen’s babies names), Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm; animated fare ‘The Smurf Movie’ and “The Emoji Movie”, the “Flatliners” reboot starring Ellen Page and Diego Luna, Denzel Washington’s “Equalizer 2”, the Taraji P. Henson assassin flick, “Proud Mary”, the horror film “Cadaver”, the much delayed “The Dark Tower” starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughy,

“Jumanji”

“Spiderman: Homecoming” and “Blade Runner 2049”.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige intruded “Spiderman: Homecoming” star Tom Holland to the crowd by saying his Spiderman was the greatest superhero and that he stole “Civil War” from the other Avengers.

Um…there’s a lot of people who disagree with that statement.

Tuesday brought out STX a relative new production company that has only had one minor hit “Bad Moms” starring Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn and Kristen Bell. STX brought out Kunis to promote the upcoming “Bad Mom’s Christmas”, Cara Delevingne to promote “Valerian and the City of a Thousand planets” starring herself and Dane DeHaan.

Jessica Chastain’s “Molly’s Game” based on the true story Molly Bloom, a former skier turned host of a successful underground poker game nights in Los Angeles with high profile participants like Tobey McGuire. She was eventually investigated by the FBI and arrested for the illegal games.

STX also announced another Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg collaboration: “Mile 22” whose synopsis reads like the film “16 Blocks” except that it’s 22 miles and not 16 blocks. They’re also getting into animation with the Robert Rodriguez directed “Ugly Dolls” film, the Elton John produced ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and an Eddie Murphy animated film about a bull.

The same day Paramount trotted out “Transformers: The Last Knight.”, soon-to-be dad George Clooney for “Suburbicon” (A Coen Brother film starring Clooney, Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac), Matt Damon for “Downsizing”, Al Gore for a sequel to “An Inconvenient Truth” and “Baywatch”.

Later on, Disney unveiled “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”, teaser for the next Star Wars film, and their entire Slate through May 2019 which will see the sequel to “Wreck It Ralph” titled “Ralph Wrecks the Internet”, “Mary Poppins”,

Emily Blunt and Ben Whishaw as the adult Banks children

“Thor: Ragnarok”, Ava duVernay’s “A Wrinkle in Time” and a live-action “Mulan” (a live-action “Dumbo” is in development).

Personally, I’m excited about “Black Panther”

Poor Lupita had to deal with the elements while shooting.

On Wednesday Universal trotted celebrated two of their collaborators: they celebrated the success of Jordan Peele’s directorial debut “Get Out’ which so far has made $150 million at the box office. It is the first time that a first time African American writer/director has had a film that reached the $100 million mark let alone $150 mil.

The showed footage from the upcoming Tom Cruise led “The Mummy” reboot. Its costar Sofia Boutella was honored by CinemaCon as Female Star of Tomorrow (Ansol Elgort was awarded Male Star of Tomorrow).

They also showed clips from “Despicable Me 3”, the comedy “Girl Trip” starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall.

“Atomic Blonde” starring Charlize Theron, and screened in its entirety “Fast and the Furious 8: The Fate of the Furious”. Vin Diesel and the supporting cast was on hand as Vin confirmed what had been assumed since F7 did so well: that the film franchise will conclude with its tenth film.

The cast member who was noticeably absent from the F8 presentation was Dwayne Johnson who had been there for two days in support of “Jumanji” and “Baywatch”. His absence gave credence to the thought that it was Vin who Dwayne referred to as a “candy ass” in his Instagram rant about the unprofessional attitudes of someone on the F&F set.

On the same day as Universal, Warner Bros did their dog and pony dance in support of their upcoming slate
including he ultra delayed “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword”, Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk”

and their DCEU fare “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League”

Though “Wonder Woman” herself, Gal Gadot was absent as she just gave birth to her second daughter.

Can someone please take away Ben’s shoelaces. He seems pretty miserable.

Meanwhile….

I think Barbra Streisand finds him attractive

Nicole Kidman is also in the film as Aquaman’s mom and Dolph Lundgren as villainous King Nereus.

The final day saw Amazon offering up presentations on films “The Big Sick”, “The Wall” starring John Cena and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Woody Allen’s “Wonder Wheel” and Todd Haynes (“Carol”) “Wonderstruck”.

Lionsgate dragged out Salma Hayek to pith “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson.

And Fox previewing “Alien: Covenant”, “Snatched”, “War for the Planet of the Apes”, and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”.

I took umbrage with the poster,

Thank you, Harry. I was miffed because they placed Julianne Moore above Taron Egerton-and yes, she’s the Oscar winner, but he’s the true star of the film, and they left off Pedro Pascal! I guarantee you Sir Elton John only did a day or two of work on that film and he’s on the poster.

People were thinking the denim clad figure was Eggsy (Egerton) or even Channing Tatum since, apparently, Tatum features heavily in the teaser shown at Cinemacon. But I knew the real deal.

As did Pedro Pascal

Fox released exclusive stills from the film to EW. I've promised myself to remain unspoiled despite that vow I spoke with someone who saw it in testing and quizzed her about certain plotlines. She wasn’t in love with it but her friend thought it was better than the first one.

Don’t care. I’m still down with Eggsy, Kingsman and the Statesmen and the crew

And this cheeky bastard, Colin Firth who is still playing games

Colin with the jokes

Mark Strong suggests that his Merlin and Halle Berry’s Ginger could have some “geeky love”

I’m down cos they’re both sexy as hell.

Like, I’m not down with breaking up marriages but I bet Rachel Weisz wishes Mark Strong was her husband. Maybe I’m projecting my feelings on to her.

Mark, Rachel and their kids at Daniel Craig’s play

Also presented was the Jennifer Lawrence film “Red Sparrow” directed by “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” director Francis Lawrence in which Lawrence plays a Russian ballerina turned seductress. Remake of “Murder on the Orient Express” starring Judi Dench, Michelle Pfieffer, Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Penelope Cruz, Josh Gad, Leslie Odom and Willem Dafoe. The reboot of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” starring Tom Everett-Scott and Alicia Silverstone. The Idris Elba/Kate Winslet film “The Mountain Between Us” with the air as “two strangers who survive a plane crash and must survive together”. Rounding out was “The Greatest Showman” starring Hugh Jackman as PT Barnum. The film also stars Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission Impossible: 5”) and Zendaya Coleman (“Spiderman: Homecoming”) and ‘roid ravaged Zac Efron

Jackman and “Snatched” star Goldie Hawn

~”Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ isn’t the only thing I want to remain relatively unspoiled for. I’m also keeping my spoiler chastity belt on for “Game of Thrones” S7. I did watch the teaser trailer (on mute) though and I cannot wait for another season of good people dying and whiny Jon Snow.

Which House Will Rise? Which House will fall? How are the Starks going to fall again this season?

*My main dude, my heart, my love, my Jorah mi Amore, Iain Glen was interviewed by Vanity Fair about his returning detective series “Jack Taylor”. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/03/iain-glen-game-of-thrones-season-7-jack-taylor-jorah-mormont

*It’s a marriage of Ice and Fire as Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington have both been hired by Dolce & Gabbana for the fragrance The One and The One for Men, respectively.

Emilia and Kit on set for their commercial

Greeting fans at another shoot

*When Kit’s not giving face he’s working. His film “Brimstone” costarring Guy Pearce is available on VOD, he’s wrapped “The Death and Life of John F. Donovan” and he’s filming the miniseries “Gunpowder” with Liv Tyler.

Kit attended the Olivier Awards with ladylove Rose Leslie

I like Sienna Miller's Christian Dior better

The Fire to his Ice, Emilia is also working with films “Above Suspicion’ (with Jack Huston), “Voice of Stone”

In the can and filming the “Han Solo” standalone.

Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) is doing his own big action film with the “Predator” reboot.

Fail!King Robb Stark’s Amazon pilot “Oasis” aired.

Amazon in all of its cruelty release pilots and have the public decide its fate. Right now a series order for the series in which Richard Madden plays a pastor in space is still up in the air.

Didn’t love the pilot but it did give me this:

And a Robert Barantheon and Robb Stark reunion.

His former TV mom Michelle Fairley pulled double duty in “The White Princess”

And the latest season of “Fortitude”. Her storyline was entwined with her former “Misfits” son Robert Sheehan.

What are my other GoT-ers up to:
~Not so little!Brandon Stark turned 18 and posed for GQ UK

He celebrated with his bestie Dean Charles Chapman.

Dean-Charles has two films coming out one titled 'Breathe" starring Andrew Garfield and Andy Serkis and featuring other GoT-ers mother/son due Dame Diana Rigg (Olena Tyrell) and Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Mace Tyrell). The film is the directorial debut of Andy Serkis who will follow it up with a live action version of "The Jungle Book". Serkis isn't a novice--Peter Jackson let him do second unit direction on "The Hobbit".

Dean-Charles' TV mum Lena Headey recently wrapped production on "Fighting With My Family" written and directed by Stephen Merchant ("Logan", "Extras"). It stars Dwayne Johnson as "A former wrestler and his family makes a living performing at small venues around the country, while his kids dream of joining World Wrestling Entertainment". and Lena is currently filming "The Flood" with my boo, my bae Iain Glen.

The film centers on "A hardened immigration officer (who) decides the fate of a dangerous asylum seeker."

I hope she has time to watch "Top of the Lake"

or post more FBF or TBT pics of she and her TV brother Peter Dinklage (who has a second child on the way).

The other Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's film "Small Crimes is on Netflix,

he finished filming "3 Ting", a Danish film costarring Birgitte Hjort Sørensen who appeared in the "Hardhome" episode of "Game of Thrones" and saw his other film "Shot Caller" picked up for US distribution by Saban Entertainment. It will debut in the US in summer.

Meanwhile, he's working a cool GoT wrap jacket.

I want this!

Gwendoline Christie wrapped "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and is currently shooting "The Darkest Minds" about "a disease kills 98% of America's children, the surviving 2% develop superpowers and are placed in internment camps. A 16-year-old girl escapes her camp and joins a group of other teens on the run from the government.".

She's still finding time to be a fashion QUEEN!

Love those huge Iris Arpel frames

Her buddy Finn Jones' "Iron Fist" debuted on Netflix and it wasn't as well received as the other Marvel-Netflix offerings. The culprit was largely Finn's acting.

If they were doing what it looks like they doing maybe people would've been more forgiving of the show, but alas they're not

Sorry, my Knight of Flowers

~My girl crush Natalia Tena was in Los Angeles for some time making a movie

~Aidan Gillen was just one GoT-er who appeared in Sky TV's "Urban Tales". Iwan Rheon (Ramsay) appeared in one as Hitler and Aiden appeared in one as Timothy Leary next to Ben Chaplin's Cary Grant.

The episode was as ridiculous as it sounds

Less ridic? Aidan has joined Season 4 of "Peaky Blinders alongside returning Tom Hardy, his wife Charlotte Riley and newcomer Adrien Brody.

Littlefinger gets no respect in the Seven Kingdoms but Aidan gets much respect from his "Queer as Folk" and now "King Arthur" costar Charlie Hunnam.

Charlie said of Aidan in a recent interview, "He was probably the most instrumental person in shaping my perception and process of the film business. He`s got such integrity and he`s so singular and uncompromising about what he wants his career to be and in pursuing that. To be exposed to that in my first-ever job, in my introduction to the business of film, was a really handy thing. Learning that lesson from him prevented me from having to learn it from my mistakes.”

Hunnam gave an interview about something I was curious about--his brief marriage when he was 18. I remembered when he got married because the tabloids were reporting that Madonna was so impressed with him in QAF that she offered to have him meet with execs in Hollywood so that she could act like a sponsor for him, but people assumed it was because she wanted in his pants hence the offer. She started making moves to get him auditions and interviews with agents but Charlie up and got married, which led her to withdraw her support of him. Allegedly.

By the time "Undeclared" was on I was wondering if he was still married since he never spoke of a wife. Now I know, he disclosed that the two had fallen in love quickly after meeting on an audition and he married her because he was afraid they wouldn't see each other again, that at the very least he'd have to see her again if they got divorced. He said subsequently it took three years to go through the divorce process, which doesn't tell me anything about how much time they actually spent together.

I can't fault Charlie, when I was nineteen or so I was in Vegas with my friend and her family and I seriously considered marrying a guy I met. My thinking was that it would be cute: we'd go our separate way but connected by this little secret that we got a quickie wedding. What kept me from going through with it, besides my best friend telling me I was crazy, was that I did consider the idea that if we were legally married, if we divorced he would be entitled to half my stuff, which at that time was nothing but Barbies some money from my part-time job and photo albums filled with New Kids on the Block pictures. But just on general principle!
