~Fanboys wants want to laud the Marvel and DC films or the Fast and Furious franchise but I think more credit should be given to Mila Jovovich and Kate Beckinsale the lowkey MVPs of action films. 2017 will see the return of both women to their respective franchises: Jovovich with “Resident Evil” and Beckinsale with “Underworld”.

Quite frankly I’ve never seen a “Resident Evil” film. But believe me I giggled like a little girl when Iain Glen showed up in the trailer.

Now I’ve seen at least one “Underworld” film and the only thing I remember is that Michael Sheen was fit.

I’m sure I put my own spin on it by the trailer for “A Monster Calls” leaves me emotionally compromised because I feel Liam took on the gig to voice the tree in order to help himself and his sons reconcile themselves with the loss of his wife, their mom Natasha Richardson.

*Even though his contract with Marvel should be up, we’re sure to see RDJ again in a Marvel film. Someone who is also, surprisingly, still in the Marvel fold is Tom Hiddleston who is filming “Thor 3: Ragnarok” right now.

I went to a Q&A with Hiddleston in support of “The Night Manager”
and I know people think he and Taylor Swift’s relationship was a PR move but he doesn’t seem that desperate. He definitely seems like he craves attention, at the Q& A I think he definitely played the room but I think it’s more about promoting himself with his personality. He doesn’t need to enter into fake relationships (in the parking lot as he was departing someone yelled out, “Your girlfriend’s the devil!” I was horrified!. Now someone who seems really desperate is Eddie Redmanyne. I think it’s because he’s a child theater actor (which is a completely different energy than being a child TV or film actor). He craves attention and plays the room like a fiddle in order to get people to love him. I know a guy who was a former theatre actor-started out as a kid, did a play with Angela Lansbury. And he’s certainly someone who is turned to 1000%.
I find him an interesting actor and I wouldn’t mind him being James Bond.

*I never thought Hiddleswift was a thing that would go beyond a few dates. I don’t believe it was a serious thing. What was serious was Brad and Angelina!!! I’m gutted that they’ve split and in such a nasty way. But they burned so brightly and so hot that it had to go supernova. I’m more gutted by Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts splitting.
I hope they keep it civil for their tow-headed children
Just like in “The Dark Knight Rises” and Bane says that no one cared about him until he put on the mask. I didn’t care about Liev until he took off his clothes and I realized how beefy he is.

~Tom Ford recently directed Jake Gyllenhaal in “Nocturnal Animals” and talked about how he’s puzzled that people had Jake wax his chest hair in his other films. Not Tom Ford! He kept Jake natural and says that not only does he not wax his own chest hair but he doesn’t manscape downstairs either.
I’m in full agreement with Ford. I love chest hair. I can understand why it doesn’t float some people’s boats but for me it’s a thing.
