Re: Hey! I've seen a Few of these Movies too! dawnybee September 5 2016, 22:38:34 UTC
And I've read a few articles that say that it is the "Women's" movies that make the greater profits for studios, not the "Little Men Boy" movies.

Because people are hungry for real, rich stories. I love comic book and action films, but I do miss great dramas and stories with fully fleshed out characters. Even the actors who are taking their huge paydays from franchise films say that miss real stories.

I think that RE-DO films are mostly overrated although a few do turn out better than the original or give a new perspective on the film's subject matter. Of course, right now, I can't think of any to use as examples. Lazy Brain! Werq It!

I cannot think of a way, really. And more are coming down the pipeline. A remake of "Splash"? Not that I'm a fan of the original but of any movie to re-do, why that one?

really like and enjoy all the ladies in the film. I am glad that Leslie Jones is finally getting her due here and in the Olympics. F**k the Racist H8ters

The hell that the trolls have put her through is mind-boggling. I can't fathom hating someone so much to tweet at them or hack their account and website instead of just ignoring them. It's insane to me and I'm glad she's back online and I hope she continues staying head held high above the fray.

I have to say that thinking about LA Confidential, Kim Basinger has aged so much better than Russell Crowe although she seems so much more constricted (by plastic surgery or mental health) than Crowe. He is willing to just let it all go, stomach and chin waddle and do the job with joy.

I know she has anxiety issues IIRC but so many women in the industry just feel they need to be "refreshed" by plastic surgery and I can see if they're doing it for themselves, but they do it to still be seen as viable in the industry and instead they're mocked. But if they just live their lives like Crowe and age naturally they're pilloried (Carrie Fisher). There's no way to win. But I was so happy to see her in The Nice Guys and even see her reunited with Not!Nice Guy Crowe.
