I thought that Michelle Rodriguez is FINISHED with ACTING!

Oh, I see that she is taking up directing. ::Eye Roll::

Will her directorial eye be as varied as her "acting"? Michelle "One Note" Rodriguez as a director is something I would like to see.

I never followed Lost or her DUIs on that show.
I don't know if it was coincidental or what but almost all the cast that had DUIs while shooting were written off (Daniel Dae Kim being the exception) so thank goodness for drinking and driving because her Ana Lucia was worthless.

But I was amazed by Kate Bosworth. She looked great and was very convincing as an athlete in that movie. Now she is just some dull faded version of a Mid-Level Model and clothes horse.

When she's giving strong material she steps it up like "Blue Crush" or "Wonderland" but, yeah she's just someone who shows up on "What Are They Wearing" lists and seems dull as dishwater. And her Lois Lane was so terrible in "Superman Returns" that I often forget that Lois Lane was even in the movie. Writing this out now I just remembered that she and James Marsden were in "Superman Returns" and "Straw Dogs" together. She's faded from my memory!

Interesting career turn. Miss Rodriguez still commands in her career. It might not be the biggest but she is a strong woman and plays them on screen.

And I love that she advocates for stronger characterizations from her roles. She plays the same characters over and over again but at least she plays strong women.

This is The End sounds like Part II of Pineapple Express that was written by Seth Rogen too. Mr. Rogen seems to be limited in his writing interests, but I enjoyed the movie.

There's a major plot point in "This is the End" with Seth and James discussing a sequel to "Pineapple Express 2". The only part I remembered laughing at in "Pineapple Express" is when they have Danny McBride character tied up and someone makes fun of one of the baddies for wearing British Knights, which. I had a pair when I was a kid (because I knew better than to ask my mom for expensive name brand shoes like Rebooks, Nike or Adidas). It was such a random reference that I cracked up.

. I like an artist who is willing to venture into a classroom to learn something other than her art. Eva Longoria, of all people, just received a Masters degree from Cal State. She put in the credit time and studied and wrote her dissertation too. No honorary degrees for either one of them, they are out there earning it.

It's great that they are curious and inquisitive enough to gain further education. Looking at the other women of "Desperate Housewives" I think Eva realized that she didn't just want to trade only her looks. They can't help you forever (::cough:: Teri Hatcher::cough::)

I still have to see The Great Gatsby. It is Baz, so I expect to see some flair and outrageous Opera style and acting.

There are bits that are very Baz-like with the flair and sadly it goes away. It doesn't detract from the film but I think it could've been a much bolder film if it kept that tempo. It was dizzying and wonderful then it just devolved into a standard, albeit gorgeous looking, drama.

But now that I think of the book, Daisy is a sort of Enigma. She is not a real person, she is always some one else's concept or perception of her. So playing the character must be difficult, particularly if as you say, even Miss Mulligan has problems with it. Jordan comes off as much more interesting than Daisy even in the book.

I think all the women in the film are much more interesting than Daisy only because you have an idea of twho they are (though they are still almost afterthoughts). LIke you say Daisy is a sort of an enigma and she's definitely presented as a contruct of Gatsby's vision of her or her husbands. She seems to be whoever she's with in the moment. Gatsby is holding onto this vision of the Daisy he knew and overlooks the reality of her now.

What Delilah did this to you?

I blame magic. Magic was always Clark's undoing.

Mr. Welling is traveling the country, first Austin and now Cleveland with the Indians, and then Las Vegas? His life is just one Long Road trip these days.

I have a feeling his agent finally woke up and thought "We need to get money off this dude." They surely told him that he should audition for jobs that shoot out of state so he can get free trips. That would've been my pitch. "You travel; I get my 15%. Win/Win"
