Two Kinds of Guys.... chatchien April 26 2013, 19:10:37 UTC
*Asked about his acting influences or favorites Shannon said Jimmy Stewart. He said not many people can be “a Capra guy and a Hitchcock guy”.

Now this is interesting. I am no fan of Jimmy Stewart, like Katherine Hepburn, in most of his career, his acting consisted of tics and re-treaded quirks and voice clinging and cringing delivery, that was annoying at best, unwatchable and like finger nails on a chalk board at worst.

But yeah, that does show range. But Capra and Hitchcock made Mr. Stewart stand up straight with his shoulders back and didn't allow mannerisms to be his "acting".

Another actor with the same credentials was Robert Walker. I was watching that horrible movie, Cosmopolis with Robert Pattison (how could you do this one, David Cronenberg?) and I was thinking, "What this movie needs is Robert Walker in the lead role. He could make this character interesting and still show him as a bore." Jeez, Mr. Pattison was Cardbord in that movie. Wet Cardboard.

Gimme Some of That! MACKIE!

The victim of Pain and Gain from the real life story is very unhappy with the movie. It wasn't a comedy for him.

I guess that they are serving "BREAST" at this family meal. 8-p
