SV interviews, TV Fail...

Oct 29, 2009 14:27

~Work has been keeping me really busy and it’s killing me because there’s so much I want to post about; there’s posts from my f-list I want to comment on. I didn’t understand the need for Twitter with its 140 word limit but right now with me being jammed it’s a great tool to microblog with because I tweet things I’m thinking about and then I can go back when I have time and extrapolate on it on LJ. Twitter: the virtual Post-It note.

~There are new interviews with Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson interviews, as well as a SV scoop from Mike Ausiello. All contain spoilers. I did take a peak at Brian’s IGN interview and this one thing bugged me.

Peterson states fans should assume that Lois found out about Jimmy's death off-camera and dealt with Chloe off-camera which is garbage. Jimmy being killed wasn't a small, inconsequential thing, it's pretty big. It's bad enough when they treat someone who had an important arc like Alicia's and sweep the death under the rug as if her relationship with Clark held no significance (I guess ultimately is was), but Jimmy was Lois' cohort. To not give Erica an opportunity onscreen for Lois to react to Jimmy's death is such a waste. They could've just tacked on a scene it into Oliver's grieving/binging/whoring where she acknowledges her hurt at Jimmy's death. I mean, what did she think Oliver was going off the rails about?

And I think I scanned where he talked about more upcoming DC characters to the show, which I’m kinda over. But if they all look like Steve Bascic (Dark Archer) I could live with it.

*KSite has images from the upcoming Kandor.

~ Jim Beaver is interviewed about SPN, still can’t give answers.

~Kevin Williamson talks about The Vampire Diaries.

~ Who is dead on “Lost” even though I swear the producers kept saying “uh-uh don’t trust your eyes. “

*Interview with Damon Lindelof who discusses the pitfalls of “Lost”.

~NBC continues to piss people off with their decision to have Leno on at 10pm (another post brewing that I haven’t had a chance to hash out), but they’ve really pissed me off by canceling “Trauma”-which won’t be picked up past its 13 episode order, yet they have renewed “Mercy” a show so outstandingly awful that I need meds after watching it.

Something else that bugged me is that SyFy is going about adapting the UK’s “Being Human” for the U.S. If you’ve not watched it, “Being Human” is a great hour of TV about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost who are roommates. It’s funny, it’s well-acted, the cast is extraordinary and they actually have a hot vampire on that show. Whatever SyFy cooks up can’t be better than .

Aidan Turner, Lenora Critchlow and Russell Tovey

Mitchell, the hottest vampire in the game

But if SyFy think they can do better…

~ I watched the pilot of “White Collar”. I wasn’t completely on board the first two times I watched it. I know I will come to love it. There’s a great Matthew Bomer interview (which I can’t find right now, dammit) where he describes Neal like a four-year old. Using that as an image I know understand the character better.

Matthew is really short

But makes up for it with adorableness

And this pic that tasabian shared with me (thank you, thank you, thank you!)

~The revamped “Scrubs” returns December 1st with Donald Faison and John C. McGinley still on-board. The new “Scrubs” will switch to a medical school setting. The regular cast includes Eliza Coupe from last season and newcomer Dave “quickly becoming the cutest” Franco.

Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke are expected to return for several episodes.

~A celebration of costars.
90210

The best couple on the show IMO

Jennie with Shannen Doherty at a recent event

*Jennie’s husband Peter Faccinelli has been stuck on “Twilight” duty. He seems to always hang with Kellan Lutz only. Of all the obnoxious cast, could Kellan be the least obnoxious?

::eyes the glasses:: No, he’s pretty obnoxious.

Matt Latner, Annalynne McCord, Lori Loughlin and Old Man McGhee, Trevor Donovan

Just like her character, Shanae Grimes is on the periphery

Gale Harold, Thea Gill, Scott Lowell and Robert Gant on hand to honor Sharon Gless at a charity for elder housing

Gale, Bobby Gant and Sharon

Thea, Gale and a woman who is rumored to be Gale’s girlfriend

Lindsay totally wanted to do Brian

*Greg Grunberg has confirmed what blogs have been reporting: death will come to “Heroes”. He doesn’t say who but my bets are that Nathan/Sylar are gone for good.

Poor Adrian and Milo. Will the love continue?

Perish the thought that anything would come between them

Maybe Milo’s rumored new girlfriend, “Kyle Xy”s Jamie Alexander

Adrian holding on to Milo balls

He’ll miss looking at that crooked smile

For right now they’re hard at work on “Heroes” and still giving Petrellicest when they can. Whenever that is since I haven’t watched since this season’s premiere.

*Know what you’ve been missing all your life? If you say a film adaptation of “The A-Team” show yourself out of this post. We didn’t want it, but we’re getting one. “The A-Team” will star loveable douche mainstay Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley of “District 9”, UFC champ Quinton Jackson as B.A Baracus and Jessica Biel as a love interest. What does she do? We don’t care, she’s just a love interest.

*Behind the scenes picture from the upcoming film “Grown Ups” starring “Saturday Night Live” alums Chris Rock, David Spade, Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider. Also starring Kevin James.

It’s funny that David Spade has come under fire from people for doing a Direct TV ad featuring the late Chris Farley. A few years ago Chris Rock was on Howard Stern and on the topic of Farley’s death, he said the people he’d never forgive are the ones who got him cleaned up just enough to work on films. My first thought was that he was talking about Spade.

The film Heath Ledger was working on when he died is opening very soon. It will be a part of the AFI fest this coming week in L.A. Here are stills from “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” where Heath’s role of Tony will be played by himself and actors Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp.

Heath Ledger

Jude Law

Johnny Depp

Colin Farrell

Tom Waits

Christopher Plummer

*Jeffrey Dean Morgan will work himself to death.

Here are two pics from his upcoming film “The Resident” starring Hilary Swank and Christopher Lee.

He’s in “The Losers” here in a Twitpic posted by Idris Elba.

JDM, Idris Elba and Chris Evans and Columbus Short

*Speaking of the hotness that is Idris, he’s developing a series with BSG’s co-executive producer, David Eick to produce a legal drama for NBC. The untitled project is a hard-hitting legal drama about a vigilante lawyer who uses any means necessary to defend his clients against a corrupt district attorney and city establishment.

Sexy

But Yay for JDM working streak.

Noticeably absent from the pic is costar Zoe Saldana.

Zoe is also starring in the upcoming “Takers” with Idris, Paul Walker, T.I, Matt Damon , Michael Ealy, Johnathon Schaetch and Hayden Christianson. That’s a lot of cute guys with a bunch of other guys who can’t act for shit.

The one-sheet for “Takers” clearly done by someone at the CW because this is photoshop fail.

~This picture made my day.

I don't even know how to jump Double Dutch. Look at our First Lady!

and this one made me leer, James Marsden
