Where The Wild Things Are, Mayhem *Mayhem*, TV Casting....
~ A video was posted (and taken down) of Chad Michael Murray telling fans that he wasn’t coming back to “One Tree Hill” and that they “don’t want me back. I am not joking.”
It alarms me to say this but
I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I can go on without Mayhem around to hate on. It’s Tom with no Jerry. It’s Sylvester without Tweety. A superhero without a rogues gallery. Chad was the king douchewad of his generation, now who’s left holding it down for jerkasses? John Mayer? It’s no fun hating on John Mayer because John Mayer actually recognizes that he’s a ginormous tool. CMM actually thinks he’s a cool guy. That’s where the joke lies. It’s like I don’t even need to see Chad in anything because he emits a smugly aura that is so powerful and casts a wide breadth that it’s always there. Like oxygen. Stank, toxic, no talented oxygen.
I hope this is a publicity push by him to keep himself on the show (just like I think all the leaked negotiations update re: Allison Mack were-not so much from her herself, but maybe her camp) because I’m freaking out here. Even though I have never seen one second of OTH (okay, maybe five minutes of the episode he wrote) it’s comforting to know that somewhere Chad Michael Murray and his weasel-like mug is on the TV being panned somewhere by someone. If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound? If Chad Michael Murray acts like a disease-ridden, Paris Hilton shtupping prick but is not in the media, does his dickness really happen?
The user took her video down but for maximum lols one had to watch the moment when a woman goes to Chad’s side to take a picture and unprovoked he tells that he’s not coming back. She was just trying to get a picture to put on her Facebook. Maybe make a poster to put on her wall to through darts through and he felt he had to open his heart to her.
People are saying it’s a PR stunt by him to save his job. Others are saying it’s tactless. I say, what do you expect from Chad Michael Murray? The same guy who cheated on his wife (allegedly) with Paris Hilton, leaked on purpose that said ex-wife was dating her costar and basically looks, acts, dresses and talks the way he does. That’s Chad’s job to be a gargantuan sack of ick. And it keeps the universe balanced; if there were no evil, how could we measure good? So I hope that the CW loosens up their purse strings. Maybe stop spending so much money on publicity for “Gossip Girl” and throw some money Chad’s way if only for the continued laughs at how important he thinks he is.
~You thought it was over. You thought it was safe to exist in the world, but then “Twilight” is released on DVD and sells 3 million copies in the process and the world seems a much crueler place than before.

Stephanie Jacobsen who plays Jesse on TSCC is joining “Melrose Place” which also stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katie Cassidy. and Brian Austin Green has joined the pilot of “The Body Politics” alongside Jason Dorhring (“Moonlight”), Minka Kelly (“Friday Night Lights”), Tim Matheson and Gabrielle Union. But this is only Brian’s rebound show-if TSCC is renewed, he will stick with that it.
Other casting news: Laura Vandervoort (Kara, Smallville) and Alan Tudyk (Firefly) joins “V” along with Morris Chestnut (hawt), Scott Wolf, Joel Gretch of “The 4400” and Elizabeth Mitchell of “Lost”. Mitchell is definitely in the pilot, but there’s no word if she’ll be in other episodes.
~Another Smallville alumni is working. Alan Ritchson has the series for Spike titled “Blue Mountain State” and he has a movie that his being shown in limited release. “Steam”.

~After many delays and recasting and reshoots and studio notes, the film adaptation of the childrens’ book, “Where the Wild Things Are” (directed by Spike Jonze) is being released October 16th . The trailer, set to The Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up”, has been released and it looks wonderous. I didn’t like the book as a child because even then it was too deep for me-made me feel too deeply and I think this film will do the same.
