Superman's Legacy Continues...

I love stories with Clark as a parent. Whether mpreg (preferably mpreg) or by marriage or by surrogate, I love the idea of Clark with all of the abilities he has being under the thumb of a child….a child with Lex. Or Oliver.

With his propensity for ending up spread-eagled beneath people, it’s not surprising that Clark would get knocked up.

Although sometimes his hair looks like he’s mimicking a scene from “There’s Something About Mary” and it makes me wonder where Lex is aiming when he uses the pull-out method.

But Superman has children in elseworlds and stand-alone fantasy stories in the comics. These children include:

Son, Clark Kent, Jr. in Super-Sons stories

Son, Jon Kent with Lois Lane in the graphic novel Son of Superman

Daughter, Lola with Lois Lane in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #117
*Here’s what’s funny about this tale: Lola is dating Jimmy’s son, his son with Lucy Lane-that makes them cousins. But they don’t focus on that. Someone posted more about the incest vibes in Superman stories and there was a comment saying: Someone at DC in the sixties had a really hot cousin he really wanted to fuck. Bad."

Son, Larry with Lois Lane in Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #39

five children over the span of time covered in the Superman & Batman: Generations series
*In this story they never show, nor name Bruce’s wife. I have a feeling that maybe Clark isn’t the only one who is able to get pregnant. Bruce has had to break out the kryptonite a few times-maybe he’s a meteor mutant and that's his ability: the get pregnant. Unlike Clark, Bruce is a one off-er.

ETA: thanks to pepperjackcandy for this pic.
Daughter, Laura Kent with Lois Lane in Superman Family #200 (April 1980). Laura's on the floor in the green

Daughter, Lara (Kara-La Zorn) with Wonder Woman in The Dark Knight Strikes Again

a super-genius baby with Lois Lane in from Superman #224 (February 1970)
*Superman needs to put a call into Maury because Lois is trying to pass Brainiac’s son off on him. And he’s condescending? That’s Brainiac all over.

Chris Kent (Lor-Zod-Child of Zod and Ursa, the bad-ass chick from the Phantom Zone)
non biological child/ward of Clark and Lois. Seeing that he’s a character created by Richard Donner, I can only think he was named Chris after Christopher Reeve

Jason White
I hope in the next Superman film, Superman will turn back time so that he never existed.

*Of all of Superman’s children, I think I like Ariella the best because she’s a mischievious one. Daughter of Clark and Pre-Crisis Supergirl, Linda Danvers, Ariella is left to wander space alone because Linda, facing the elimentation of the timeline they existed in, asked Ariella to be spared. Since she has no one to guide her or teach her about her powers, Ariella became known as “Destroyer of Worlds” because she treats space like one big toybox. Plus, I like the idea of Clark/Superman having a daughter who is full of piss and vinegar; not a bad kid, just rebellious like sabershadowkat’s “PJ” in her "Family, Friendship and Love"'verse.

Ariella

And of course Conner/Kon-El. And sure he’s a clone, but a clone from both Superman’s and Lex’s DNA. That’s not very far from a child born of in vitro fertilization.

Kon-El

Other Children:
*Son, Jonathan Elliot with Lois Lane in Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?

* Son, Jonathan Kent II with Wonder Woman in Kingdom Come and The Kingdom

*Daughter, Laney with Lois Lane in Superman #215 (April 1969)

*an unborn child who kills Lois Lane while pregnant in an alternate future glimpsed in the Armageddon 2001 story covered in Adventures of Superman Annual #3; (I can only think the baby would look like the infant in “Ageless”)

Another Clark child because he’s very careless
