it was a push at the end before bed to get the crystal-looking icicles hung, but it is all decorated. strings of bead garland and all. :D i LOVE my white lights/multicolor lights. it's so purty!!!!!
Gabby has messed up the tree skirt underneath, but otherwise left it alone. i think she thought the 'things' under the skirt were something good, but no, just the tree stand legs. BORING!
we have so many special ornaments we have acquired over the years, i didn't even put balls on the tree. I SAID BALLS. commence giggling. now that that's over with, yes, i have several boxes of perfectly, pretty, normal ornaments to fill out the rest of the trees that i decorate, and usually i use them. this year, even though our tree is 7.5 foot, and fatter than our normal tree, i didn't have to use them. i guess because i didn't decorate two trees, and there are more lights on the tree, and the branches are fluffier and denslier packed... er... more densely packed... there wasn't room for THE BALLS. i said it again. giggle giggle. :D
but i'm happy with our tree just the way it is... it has balls... special balls... zero matching balls... balls made from Mt. St. Helen's ash, my first ball ever, a ball we got as a gift for our new home from our realtor, blue balls--one with stars on it...
you know... this really was originally going to be a lovely holiday tree post, but that's totally gone now. oh well. BALLS!
