meanwhile, back in the upstairs bathroom...
tonight or tomorrow, we should have WALLS!!! well, officially waterproof walls.
before we had drywall walls behind our tiles which was crumbling away when we took the tile off. hooray! guess it's a good thing we're redoing this bathroom, but it makes me wonder about the other two bathrooms. hm. (all in good time.)
anyway, so TWD's nephew or a friend will be helping us get the backerboard for our NEW WALLS!!!
the guy helping us with the floor, drain, and floor tiles ordered the waterproofing system for us and it should be here in a week. SO. this week, the walls go up, and the last of the sanding and priming takes place, also the Killz layer.
i forget if we're painting before or after the tiling is done... but anyway.
THEN THE WATER PROOFING LAYER AND TILING OF THE SHOWER FLOOR!!!
then the tiling of the walls and grouting the whole thing. honestly, i feel like that's the last biiig big hurdle because the rest of it is just the cosmetic stuff. TWD has settled on a vanity and shower/faucet fixtures. he KNOWS what medicine cabinet he wants and we already have that. (that's what started the whole damn chain of events! lol)
just gotta pick a light fixture and a new rug. :D
GOAL: Sept. 22. ... i think my mom is coming for a visit! (aunt buba will come that weekend too if mom's coming. we'll need three bathrooms.)
