we have TILE. we have tile. we don't have grout, but we have tile.
and then TWD went back to work, so i don't know when the ripping out of the shower will happen which is the next step, and the putting down of the shower base/membrane to make it waterproof. we have to talk to our Shower Guy to find that out.
then we pick tiles for the shower (though we're pretty sure we know what we want), tile it, and grout the whole bathroom.
hooray!
TWD's birthday was pretty low-key. he wanted to ... sand dry wall. and watch fencing on TV for the Olympics. which we did. :)
ooh ooh! and we went to Home Depot.
The End. i finally asked him what he wanted for dinner. "i don't know. i can't think." i asked if he could have ANYTHING AT ALL what he would want. "i don't know!" um. okay. so i asked if i could make him something. "like what?" "i don't know." i said.
the conversation didn't get much better. lol. so finally he said i should look through the books and surprise him and so i did. i made cheese tortellini with tomato, basil, garlic and balsmic vinegar. (refrigerator spinach tortellini and three cheese tortellini, smash garlic, seeded tomatoes, a bunch of spices including fresh basil, with sprinkled parmesan on top.) i made garlic bread (like buy a loaf of fresh bread, smash garlic into real butter and bake it onto the bread). we also had a salad. i bought a "single" piece of chocolate mousse cake and some strawberries for dessert that we shared.
he declared the dinner good and himself surprised. surprised ABOUT dinner, not that it was good. har har.
i'm kind of amused by the "serving sizes" though. according to the recipe it was supposed to serve 4. according to the noodle package, just the NOODLES were 5 servings WITHOUT all that other stuff added. we got seven servings out of it. *blink* i'm not sure what kind of servings those "four servings" were supposed to be, but if i ever make it again, i'm halving the recipe.
but hey. at least it was really really good and as TWD said, "perfect." light, tasty, and just right for a late evening summertime meal. :)
